I have the typical food stages with suggestions for each posted here: freepgs.com/bariatricbytes/Food_Stages.html that may give you some ideas within your doctors eating protocols. Good luck!

Jill, I found that refried beans, especially those from the can, are good, the ones from Taco Bell are good, but you will need to use a napkin or something to soak up the fat off the top. I also ate soft fruits in a can, like peaches, pears, etc. I am a sweets freak, so I needed that taste. If you use a processor, one of the small cup size is best, tuna fish with mayo, fat free, and just a little pickle relish juice is tastey as well. Cream potatoes are good, go ahead and add the seasonings, salt, pepper, etc. I was afraid of seasonings but once I tried them and had no problem, that really made a difference. I had to stay away from maccoroni & cheese, and any kind of pasta, don't know why, my stomach just didn't like them, even though they were soft. The best advice I can give is just experiment, get your book out and try some of the things you would normally stay away from and doctor up the stuff you like. I also found that cream potatoes from KFC were pretty good. Good luck, it only gets better and better. Hugs, Charlotte

You can buy canned fat free refried beans. My favorite thing was bean soup. Recipe: 1 can FF refried beans 1 6 oz can hot and spicy V8 juice 8 oz velveeta light cheese Toss in a blender. Divide into 2 oz portions (I used yogurt containers). Heat and eat! The hot & spicy V8 gave it some kick. My pouch still likes mexican food! (I also ate lots of SF yogurt) Joy
