Janine, please let me know what they find out on the MRI. Is this from the bypass surgery and is it something we should all be looking at. Other than that you've been doing great, haven't you? Take care. Glenn Gay Springdale

I am ok still in lot's of pain! I have been in pain with the tail bone since Jan of 2004. I can not live like this ANYMORE!!! TomorrowI am going to Little Rock and getting a shot into my tailbone area. I will try everything before I try surgery that will be last resort. I am so scared of the pain from the shot I pray that it does not hurt as bad as I expect it to. I really appreciate you checking up on me. It's nice to know someone cares I will write tomorrow if I am not in to much pain. keep me in your prayers around 2:30PM I will be at Ortho Arkansas off Kanis rd. if you hear a LOUD scream it's just me LOL Love, Janine

I hope your doctor visit went well and the shot was not as painful as you anticipated. I am praying that the pain goes away. Back trouble is no fun at all. Pain is no fun either! We have places to go and things to do, so Be Gone, Pain! Let us know how you are doing! Joy

Hello, As many of you may know since my weight loss I have had SEVER tailbone pain. We have found out that it is NOT in a normal position. Well yesterday I went ahead and got a shot in my tailbone. I was told it was VERY painful thing. Well I worked myself up so bad I was sick and almost left as you know I pass out with needles. As I was on the table I asked the Dr. before inserting the needle I said is there a chance you could hit or scrape my bone he said that is what he is aiming for. I almost passed out. He was moving around and started to insert the needle I barley felt a thing. I felt a little sting and his finger moving around. I said are you getting it he said if you are not feeling it I must be doing something right. In no time it was all over I have had way worse pain getting my blood taken. After I was done everyone in the office said how brave I was and shocked that it did not hurt. So as far as another experience I can say that a shot in the tailbone is NOTHING!! So far so good it is just a little sore. I have been sitting etc. so careful for over 1 yr. it's hard to try and go about normal sitting etc. I am not sure how long it will last I may have to have more shots or maybe never again. I will keep you posted on my progress. It would be so nice to be PAIN FREE! Oh, one more cool thing when I was going into the Dr. office I ran into Dr. Baker my WLS surgen that was cool Thanks! Janine

I guess I should clear things up. I was thinking I had trouble BUT the truth is I had a enlarged pancreas & liver BEFORE SURGERY! I found out my organs are enlarged due to obesity and just because I lost the weight and am of normal size now they will not shrink. The tailbone thing is a birth defect and now than it have lost all of my cushion I can feel the pain before I had LOT'S OF PADDING LOL. So nothing is wrong with me because of the surgery so don't worry. But I had no clue of all these things I was told all is ok so I am happy now. My tailbone is feeling better just sore NOTHING like the pain i was feeling for over the 1 yr and 3 mo. I thank you all for your prayers and concerns!
