What is something that you can do now that you could not do before having WLS??? I'll start! I can run and play with my daughter and I am no longer ashamed for my sons friends to see me or my husbands co-workers. I can cross my legs too!! Skinny Wishes, Becky

Hi Karen and all. I'm back online. I dropped my laptop and broke it, it's in the shop but I finally hooked the old "dino' back up so I could see how everyone is doing. I had my surgery on 1/19/05 and am very disappointed in my wt. loss. At first I went down in a hurry, but I was sick and in the hospital 2 times. Now in the past 2 weeks, I've gained 5 #. I'm sick about it because I am certainly not over eating. In fact can only eat about 2 times a day and sometimes a protein drink. I still have nausea a lot. I had lost 40# but now back down by 5. I do drink juice, 2 to 3 glasses a day. My throat stays dry and I have to have something to sip on handy all the time, and just can't drink h2o, never could! How important is it really to drink 64 oz. of h2o daily? I water my juice down by half. I've tried all the water drinks, but am allergic to the artificial sweeteners, except Splenda, but don't like that either. I've mixed my own concoctions, using flavorings, but so far haven't found anything I can drink 64 oz. of. I'm going through the new dentures thing and they can't make them fit because I have no ridge bone, so am going to have to have implants, but can't afford them now, so salads are out, and I love salads. Boy, sorry this has turned out so long, so condensed, how important is the water thing, and at about 10 wks. out, is my wt. loss slow? Please, anyone feel free to answer. Sharon Terhune
