Ark Doctors?

Can anyone give my info on the doctors in the Little Rock area? I need to start researching them but I don't even have any names to start with. Thanks Tj Brown

There are several good doctors in LR area. I used Dr. Kerry Ozment. He is a great surgeon who has the most experience. He has done close to 8,000 and has a very low complication rate. He has a great bedside manner and is a genuinely good man. He has trained most of the other surgeons in this area and around the country. I know people who have used Dr. Mark Gibbs, Dr. John Baker, and Dr. Rex Lutrell and were pleased. I went to a seminar held by all these surgeons and felt most comfortable with Dr. Ozment. I liked both Gibbs and Lutrell just fine but did not care for Dr. Bakers manner. I know he is an excellent surgeon but I wanted both a great surgeon and a nice guy. I have heard Dr. Baker can be hard on his patients in order to make sure they know what they are getting into and are willing to make the change required of them. Anyway alot of people like him but he rubbed me the wrong way. Dr. Ozment only does open RNY. I know some, maybe all of the other surgeons also do laproscopic (?) RNY. I HAD SURGURY 11/29/04 AND DR BAKER DID MY SURGURY.. HE WAS SO GOOD AND HE HAD GREAT BED SIDE MANNERS.. HE WANTS YOU TO BE A 100 PERCENT SURE WHAT YOU ARE DOING SO IN MY THOUGHTS THATS GOOD , BECAUSE THERE IS NO TURNING BACK... HE STAFF IS GREAT AND I NEVER THOUGHT HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING... I HAVE LOTS 79 1/2 LBS IN 4 MONTHS... GOOD LUCK AND BEST WISHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ALL I CAN SAY IS DR. Baker! He from what I have seen has the BEST success rate and is VERY good. I have had it with him so far -219 pounds in ALMOST 21 mo. I was 381 NOW 162 VERY PLEASED no complications at all. (results may very) Good luck!

Well, I guess we all like our doctors, which is why we are all different. Dr. Mark Gibbs did my lap rnk monday morning and I am home on my computer, so if that helps. He is all business but hey, I wasn't looking for a boy friend, ha. So there is my vote!
