UMA

Hi, I am a self pay patient looking for a good hospital to have my surgery at. Someone told me that UMA will be a ok one and wont cost as much b/c that is a learning hospital. The doctor there will Dr. Niazy Selim. I dont know much about him or her. I am looking for some answer's Plz if anyone has any information let me know...

I've reda that a lot of people have had problems getting the procedure paid for in Arkansas by Medicare/Medicaid. I think that most have had to go out of state to get it done. Sorry I can't be of more help!

Oops sorry, wrong thread. lol Self pay... I had my surgery done at St. Vincents with Dr. Kerry Ozment last month. In my opinion, he is a fanTASTIC Dr. and the staff at the hospital took great care of me. Total cost was a little over $15,000 You can read more at St. Vincents website on their bariatric center and if you email them with any questions, they always replied back to me within a few hours.
