http://www.ama-assn.org/amednews/2004/04/05/bil20405.htm Hi, everyone, it only takes a minute to send a quick email to your State Senator and Congressman. Their addresses are easy to find online. Please ask them to get involved. Corporation fat cats are governing who gets healthcare and who doesn't. That's not right. I've been seeking insurance approval since March of 2004 and even though I meet the criteria and I have a letter from my lawyer and my pcp that I do in fact meet all of the criteria...they still deny me (BCBS of Illinois). Please...I beg of you to pass the message on.

We dont hear about the the horrible things that happen after the surgery and let me tell you anything that could have gone wrong has with me. I wish everyday I would have never had the surgery. Look into other options ..GOd knows I wish I would have.

Hi, Theresa, thanks for your response. Actually it was God who let me find the surgery because before I found out about it I was praying for a way out of the obesity that I've suffered with since childhood. The only thing stopping me are the Corporate Fat Cats and I think this is happening because I'm supposed to fight. I have heard lots of terrible stories so they are out there and lots of news stations and people have talked about the bad times as well. I am well informed and you are a minority, and I'm so sorry it had to be you...but you are of a very small percentage of people. I have heard of people who have had horrible times for months and months but are still so grateful and would have done it all again. I almost died having my son...but I would do that again too. I guess it's a perspective thing. I wish you the best and I hope you recover from your illnesses and see the greater side of the surgery.
