The top of my incision is sore

I've been trying to decide whether it warrants a call to the doctor. My top stitch stings and is slightly puffy and red. I don't know if this is normal healing. I hate being whiny and calling the doc for every little thing but I also don't want to get infected. Also, has anyone experienced extended numbness in the rear end following this surgery and an epidural? I have a band across my rear end that is really, really numb and my tailbone aches. Anyone else experience this? Karen

I would call the doctor and ask both questions. Better safe than sorry! Joy
