And so glad! So far, so good! I'm in no pain and trying to walk every chance I get. Ice chips are heaven. I've had a little sf jello, broth, and sf popsicle. I haven't been hungry at all. Eight glasses of water has been a little difficult, but I expect it will get better with time. Just wanted to check in and say thank you to all who supported me and prayed for me. I am praying for all our January pre-ops that your experience will be as uneventful as mine. A special thank you to Kim, Erica, and Christi for all your support and well wishes while I was in the hospital. God bless, Charlene

Congrats!! You have been such an inspiration to me. I went to the seminar with Dr. Gibbs December 31, what a way to start a new year. I was 52 jan 5th so we are close to the same age. That and your evidently strong faith in God have inspired me. How was the immediate post op time? Did you have open or lap procedure? How long were you in the hospital? Thanks for you help and keep up the good work. God Bless, Charlotte

I called the hospital on Sunday to talk to you...you were gone!! Then I remembered about having the surgery lap and I realized why I was too late. I'm so glad everything has been uneventful and you sound like you are doing wonderful! I am getting better each day....totally off my pain meds now and experimenting with soft food. I know what you mean about the water...the most I have gotten down in a day so far is 34 oz and it looks like I'll be right around that mark again today. It is just so hard to fit all the water in between meals! Oh well, I'm sure it will get better. Email me if you get the chance. Karen E.

Hi Charlene; I am so glad you are doing so well. I've been thinking of you and praying for you. I spent all day Wednes. in LR doing all the pre tests, seeing the nurse, diet speciaist, and Dr. Luttrell. Today is the first day I've started to get nervous and scared! How painful is it in the hospital? Did you have an epidural? I am going to try that new On-Q, has anyone used that? I have so many co-morbidities that I am obviously in poor health to start with. I'm just getting nervous. Need to think positive! Anyway, good luck and God Bless all he Jan. pre-ops, and Charlene, keep up the good work on your journey, Love n Christ, Sharon Terhune

Hi Charlene and all; I've posted sveral times and they haven't shown up. I'm doing somethng wrong. Charlene, congratulations! I'm glad you are doing well. I wish I were where you are now. I go in Wednes. and I'm getting nervous!, but I found out this mornig that I was on a 24 hr. prayer vigil list from yesterday morning till this am. I was really anxious night before last, but it got better yesterday and last night. Now I know why. I did my pre-ops, saw the dietitian, nurse and Dr. Luttrell last Tues. and will attend a siminar with Dr. Ozmont Tues., Then stay at the Guesthouse Inn Tues. night, then am admitted a 5:00am Wednes. with surgery at 7:30am. Charlene, how are you doing with eating now? What can you eat? I am allergic to Nutra-sweet and while some things come with Splenda, a lot doesn't and I am a coke-a-holic! I've got to try to find something to drink, and I have never been able to just drink water. I'm trying to think of what I can mix myself, any ideas? Good luck and God bless to all pre-ops, Sharon Terhune
