I'm Home!!!

Greetings one and all...I have just returned home from my life changing surgery and didn't want to wait another minute to post here how much I appreciate all of your prayers and warm wishes. I special thank you to Steve for his call on Tuesday and to Charlene for her visit today. Charlene, you are going to do great tomorrow! I feel fantastic...the gas was a bit rough last night but is better today. I've walked and walked and walked and it has really helped. I'll post more tonight after my nap and will update my profile with my 'surgery story' as well. Thanks again! Karen

Hey Karen, I am here in Little Rock too. I had surgery in July. I am doing well, and if you ever need to talk or need anything, just ask! Congrats, and get ready for the ride of a lifetime! Tweedy

Karen, it was so good to meet you face to face this afternoon. Your encouragement has really calmed me today. I had all my pre-op testing after I saw you and then my appointment with Dr. Gibbs. All went well, and he said if I do really well, I might get to go home on Sunday. We will see. I sure don't want to rush things, and he said it would certainly depend on me. Before I left his office I made him make me a promise: that he would operate on me as though it were he being operated on. He smiled and said that is exactly how he operates. I feel very confident with him and I know his hands will be directed by someone with a greater power. I wish you the very best and I will deffinately keep in touch. Keep up the good work, Charlene
