It looks like
It looks like it will be the first of January when I can begin my new journey. I spoke to Carrie at Dr. Gibbs' office yesterday and unless there is a cancellation in December, I will be walking on that other side at the beginning of the new year. What a way to start! A new year...a new me! I'm getting excited.
Congratulations! Good for you! It's not a totally bad experience although at times you get a little tired of not beling able to eat BUT the overall effect is wonderful. I have just now found a protien shake I can tolerate so I am trying to drink one a day. Found the Natural flavor Whey Protien powder at GNC to be really good. I mix it with 1/3 cup orange juice, 1 bananna and 1 cup of frozen strawberries or peaches and then ice to thicken. It makes about 32 ounces and takes me about 3 hours to drink it all but it is better than anything I have tried. I'm hoping that will help my hair loss and give me some energy.
Anyway, good luck and keep us posted.

Thank you, Glenn! And thanks for the info on the protien drink. I guess I better start testing them out so I'll be able to get started when I need to. Years ago, I went on the Medi-fast diet and I lost a lot of hair then too. The doctor was not sure what was causing it so I ended up in a dermatologist's office. While waiting to see him, I picked up a magazine in the room and read an article that said rapid weight loss would cause hair loss. Geez! I could have saved that 40 bucks had the magazine been out in the waiting room! Oh well...it all came back and maybe even thicker.
Congratulations to you to on all your weight loss! I hope you are feeling better soon!
Charlene;
It looks like we will start the journey at the same time, as long as I get the financing in place.
Did anyone sit in on the Q&A session Kirk posted about? I was so tired that evening that I fell asleep. I would like to find out if there's a copy anywhere.
Charlene, you and Glenn look so much alike to me you could be sisters.
You both have such pretty faces ya'll will be knock-outs before long!
(I'm trying those icons) I look in the mirror anymore and it shocks me! I lost my teeth due to a chronic oral yeast infection and am having quite a time with dentures. They look real good in my pocket! The only thing they are good for is to amuse my Grandchildren
Well, DH just got home, so everyone have a good evening

Sharon I'm so excited for you! Is Dr. Luttrell doing your surgery? Keep me updated on how the process is going. It will be great to chart our progess together.
I didn't sit in on the Qand A, so I can't help you there.
Maybe you could email Kirk and find out if he has a copy of the session.
Thank you for the sweet compliment. I never realized before you mentioned it, but Glenn and I do have some similar traits. We are not related that I know of. Please keep me updated on your progress. We need to keep encouraging each other. My family is showing some signs of fear and concern. I think they are realizing how big a change it really is going to cause. (I'm the COOK in the family) They may be thinking their full course meals are going to come to a screeching halt. they probably will!
Charlene the first time I saw your picture I thought WOW is that me!? We do look a lot alike. My picture is before I lost weight. I need to post another one now that I am down 87 pounds, don't I? My maiden name is Collins and my family is from Newport - northeast of Little Rock. Could be somewhere long lost kin?????? ha!
Anyway, one more good luck and I'll add you to my prayer list. Listen, between family, friends and prayers we can do anything!

Okay, Charlene, I'm going to be real suspicious if I see you up in this part of the state. You can't knock me off just so you can have my date!
Believe me, the time will go by faster than you can imagine, especially with Christmas coming up. I'm starting to get real nervous , but I'm still excited too. I guess I've just got a mixed bag of emotions going right now. Not long now!
Good Luck,
Melissa
