Serious Tricare Issues!!! :help:

There is a post from Caroline Martin on the main message board that I think is worth reading...especially if you have TRICARE or know someone who does. With all the military active duty and retirees in Arkansas, this should affect lots of people!!! She is saying Tricare will no longer cover Lapsc RNY. She goes on to offer suggestion and contact information for positive action. Thanks for considering!!!

I read the post. I'm going to check this out because something looks wrong. I could be wrong, but that letter doesn't look right to me.

Well, I just called Tricare to find out from the horses mouth....."They ONLY cover the open procedure RNY." This sounds a little stupid to me because then we will need to have additional days IN the hospital, more chances of infection, etc... Sometimes I wonder if they think the entire thing through before they make a policy for a medical procedure??? According to Tricare the proceure codes that they DO NOT cover are as follows: Procedure Code 43847 Procedure Code 43633 Procedure Code 43843 All of the other procedure codes should be fine. Those ar the ones that they will reject as uncovered.
