Has anyone been covered under Blue Cross Blue Shield in Arkansas recently? If so, was it a group plan or individual?? I have been trying since March to get coverage through any means only to have hit barriers at every turn. I am considering changing insurance companies if I can find one who'll cover wls--Help

Molly, I have Blue cross Blue Shield as my health insurance through my work and they will pay a portion of this surgery with a maximum of $4000.00 and no more/ no matter what. I have spoken with just about every person in charge at their offices and got the same answer, no matter if you are on an individual insurance or group, the amount stated stays the same and they will not cover anymore. Although I must say they were very quick in getting me the approval letter after the doctor sent in the information. Took only about a week. Good luck on your search. Kay
