Anyone from Arkadelphia?

My husband is looking at a job there. Just curious to find out a little more about the area. From the demographics online, it looks like a wonderful place to live. I am a teacher, so are their jobs available? Is there a community college there or anywhere close? What town is it close to for shopping??!!

hello kathy, i am amanda. i live in gurdon, which is 15 minutes from arkadelphia. the closest community college is in hope, it's about 25 minutes from arkadelphia. arkadelphia has several stores plus a super wal-mart. amanda

Hi! I live in Hot Springs, about 40 mins away.....They have several schools, including Henderson State University and Ouchita Baptist University. There is also a community college in Hot Springs (National Park Community College). Hope this helps.

Hi Kathy-Arkadelphia has 2 colleges (Ouachita Baptist and Henderson State) then Hot Springs has a community college and a state-run math and science high school called Arkansas School for Math and Sciences. Some decent shopping in Hot Springs and Little Rock isn't far either.
