Tina I haven't had my surgery yet, but my brother is 2 years out and he said for the first 4-6 months he lived on Taco Bell refried beans,. He said they sat well with him and kept him satisfied longer. Then he moved on to steamed chicken cut up really small and mixed with the refried beans. After about 6 months, he was able to eat pretty much whatever he wanted just in smaller smaller amounts. But he said if it hadn't been for those refried beans, he feels he would have starved. hahah. I really think that's an exaggeration but what the hey. lol I wish you the very best. Oh yeah, he said since he could only eat a few spoonfuls, he would buy an order , then put it in an ice tray and freeze it, then take each "bean cube" and put it in small zip locs. Then when he was hungry he'd take out a frozen bean cube and nuke it for dinner. I hate to say it but the dude might have a lot more in the belfry than I gave him credit for. ahhahhaahha Just the ramblings of a loving big sister. Love, Andrea
