Lap Band by Dr. James Wellborn

Has anyone had a Lap-Band done by Dr. James Wellborn in Little Rock? How was your experience? Any problems or complications? How are your weight loss results so far? How much did it cost? I am looking into this surgery and would like to know about Dr. Wellborn and his experience. Thanks.

I had lapband surgery with Dr. Wellborn on Aug. 13th. So far I have had no problems. He seems to be a very good surgeon. I had surgery at St. Vincent's and everyone there was so nice to me. The cost was $15,300.00. I recommend this surgery and Dr. Wellborn. It is much less invasive and a lot gentler on your body! Feel free to email me if you need any more info. Thanks for answering me. I have an appointment tomorrow to discuss the Lap Band and RNY with him since I am not sure which one to have. I am also a self-pay and am trying to get the money together. What made you decide to choose Dr. Wellborn? I don't see much written about him anywhere. I contacted him since he is the only one who does the lap band and I guess that's the same with you. Tell me what impressed you about him and if there was anything you didn't like. Once I decide to do it, I'll be scheduling it pretty fast since I plan on transferring to another position later this fall. Thanks for your assistance. I have also talked to Dr. Ozment's office also. His staff said that he doesn't like the Lap and has to fix them a lot. Any information, anyone? Thanks.
