well 6 days
Michel,
I would take a fan. I didn't but the hospital supplied me with one. They normally don't have enough, But I asked before they were out. All I brought was a very big MooMoo which I wore that day and I used hospital gowns. And I took a brush and a tooth brush. And house shoes with grips on the bottom. the kind that slip on and you don't have to bend over to put them on. And Deoderant. Thats about it. Hope this helps. Oh ya Don't for get to get a belt for later. You will need it to hole those britches up.
Don't forget to Walk as soon as they let you. and sip water about 1 oz. every 10 min. and when your actually ready to eat remember to chew very well.

Michele, good luck with the surgery. You've had some very good advice. I didn't take or need a fan. I was only in 2 days so I took nothing except a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodrant, comb and brush, and slip on house shoes. I too didn't want to read so I didn't take a thing.
Let us know how you are doing when you get home. We'll be prayng.

Well I took some lotion with me so someone could rub it on my feet after surgery, and of course the other things thateveryone talked about.
I too asked for a fan I would get hot so I did get one
But for sure have someone stay with you .
I had a couple bad expenicenes with the nurse staff. at St. Vincent it was just a few of them there was some good ones.
I know they have other people to care for but.
Good luck.

Lip balm!!!!!!! Also, because you will be so thirsty, gum if your surgeon says it's ok. Mine let me. Just remember it will not taste the same so you might want to bring several flavors to improve the chance of finding one you like. I wish you luck and a safe journey. Erin
