Upset at Western Sizzlin

Just wanted everyone to know that if you go to the Western Sizzlin here in Fort Smith, they will not let you order the childs buffet. I'd been there three (3) times before and then last night when we ate there the mananger said that I couldn't do this anymore that I could order off the kid's menu- have you seen how unhealthy the kids menu is? I told him that I didn't eat very much because of my surgery, but he wouldn't listen. So I told him I'd just post this information out on the message board to warn WLS patients that they do not honor this surgery. God forbid they ever need to eat as little as we do. Anyway, for three (3) soft carrots, 2 pieces of okra, and 1/2 of a chicken strip it cost me $7.49. That's all. It's been 4 months today and 70 lbs. I feel really good and everyone says I look wonderful. It's funny the perception that we carry about our self. I still see this very LARGE woman in the mirror. To everyone that reads this, thank you for letting me vent. To all of you who are thinking about having this surgery done- it's a life saver. God Bless all of my new WSL friends, Lori

I don't know of anyone who has tried to use the card at Russellville, but the buffet at Russellville Western Sizzler is very unhealthy. Mostly fried, better off at Ryans.

Lori, I had the same problem with The Market Place at the NWArkansas Mall. I wanted to order off the child's menu and they would not let me. I tried to explain the surgery deal but they still wouldn't let me. I was just dealing with teenagers so didn't argue. We've only been to Western Sizzlin here once since my surgery but I ate part of my husbands steak. We have no problems anywhere else we go because we just share an entree. It's been 9 weeks and I've lost 43 pounds since surgery and 56 pounds since the first of the year shen I started checking into the surgery. It is defintely a lifesaver and you have to want to lose weight and feel better. I can't believe how much better I feel and I understand about seeing the "fat" woman in the mirror. I know I'm smaller because I've gone from a size 22/24 to a size 16/18 but I still see this "fat" woman looking back at me. Hi Glenn! This is off topic, but I saw you were from Springdale and wanted to ask a question. I am thinking of applying for a job in Springdale and was wondering how the living conditions are there. Is it a nice place to live? How expensive is real estate? Are living expenses higher than in central AR? What about the school systems? Thanks for all your help, I appreciate it!
