Hello Kristie, Good luck with this process, it is just a series of emotions from beginning to end. I love Dr. Gibbs. I think he is just an excellent surgeon. I think that their are men and women who go to school to study medicine and become doctors/surgeons. But for some it is their destiny, it comes naturally. I think this is Dr. Gibbs. I cannot but give you his track record, he has done 100's of these surgies. He has had no leeks and no deaths. So his average is better than the national average of 2% in regards to complications (whi*****ludes death). Not only that, as a new post op, Kristie all I can say is that I truely feel good. I just was not expecting this, I was not expecting to feel good. Everyone who posted who was first out seemed to be sick. So I knew being sick in the beginning was apart of it. But I am not sick AT ALL! Dr. Gibbs does a mid bypass, meaning only a medium amount of your intestines is bypassed...I do not know if he just hit it dead on with my body or what, but I am able to tolerate everything I try. Some people have said some foods do not taste the same after surgery and they do not like them, not true for me. I like all of the same things. I have found that I can tolerate small amounts of sugar without a problem. I have not tested the waters, but accidently bought no suger added as oppose to sugar free pudding...went down fine and had no problems. Anyway, I know you did not ask for all of this.....I am just so happy! Tonia
