Home and feeling really well!!!!!
Hey everyone! Just want to thank you for all of the support and an extra thanks to Debbie! Thanks for listening to me! And thanks for calling to check on me, you are a god sent.
I guess I was expecting the worse, but I just feel extremely well. I am not tired, I do not hurt or anything. I guess starting those vitamins eight weeks early really helped.
I am on full liquids right now. I have tolerated tomato soup, lentil soup (lots of fiber and protein) and have not had any problems with the protein shakes. Yesterday I did 20 ozs of water and 60 grams of protein without problems.
Did one BIG Well I had surgery on Wed., well Sat. I was feeling really good and just going crazy being inside. So my husband and I went to the movies. I-Robot is really good. I noticed this morning I was drained, but feeling fine now. I better slow it down a little.
Only major problem is with my son. He is 16 months and does not understand I cannot pick him up....he just cries....and that somewhat unnerves me, but I know I must not pick him up. I have been sitting on the floor with him a lot.
Well that is it for now, thanks again!

Thank you TJ! Wow, you do not have long at all now. Congrats! I am sure you will do great. I have heard countless stories, and the only thing that seems to be true is that everybodies experience is different. I was sooooo expecting to feel really bad the first few weeks, not have any energy, and not able to tolerate any food. But for me, it has been so different. My stomach is not even swollen, no bruising nothing. Mind you, I am tender, but only on my left side. my right side feels fine. Oh, the only thing that does seem to be universal is the gas....gee do I ever have gas!!!!!

Tonia,
Girl that is great new's. Just remember to take it easy!! And When you try something new to eat or drink, Try it slow! I'm so glad you aren't having some of the things I did right after surgery. But take it easy! And Before you know it you will be bouncing around the house and driving your husband Crazy!! Of course I'm driving mine crazy as alway's. Give the baby a kiss for me and you will be able to play with him more than ever in no time.

Hey Michele,
I ordered those vista vitamins ( Carnie wilson is the spokes person). They are designed for gastric bypass patients. www.vistavitamins.com You take 5 chewable vitamins a day. I also took Biotin to help prevent hair loss and increase engery....so this has been great. So all of my B levels were super high going in....I think that helped and possibly a reason I just do not feel really tired and out of it. Now, if I am moving all day..I get tired, but not sluggish throughout the day.
Do not worry, I am saying that now...but I was so nervous the last few days before surgery....but the day before I just calmed down. I prayed, I even had a small prayer with my family before they rolled me back to surgery and just said God I put it your hands now. I was a peace at that point.
May god be with you Michele. I will keep you in my prayers. If you have any questions just ask.
Hello Tina,
I lurked on the Arkansas board forever before really posting. Your posts was some of the ones that I have followed. You have been so patient....with the dissappointments: canceled dates and rescedules. I am so happy that you have a date, and all of your hard work will now come to fruition.
Thank you for your support, you will be in my prayers.....I cannot wait until you join the loosing side.

Tonia-
I am really excited for you. I am new to the board, but your profile caught my eye. I am going to Dr. Gibb's seminar tomarrow and hope to get the insurance ball rolling ASAP. I'm glad to hear that you liked him, that makes me feel better....I too had checked out Dr. Baker, but changed my mind (insurance reasons). Take it easy, and congrats on being on the loser side!
