Dr James Campbell Patients??

Have any of you had Lap-band surgery done with Dr. James Campbell of Hot Springs Ar? If so how was it for you? Whats your opinion of him and his staff and the hospitol?? I cant wait to find me a surgeon that does laproscopic lap-band and start being a loser! LOL Thanks you all.

Hi, I haven't had surgery yet, but I work in the medical world in Hot Springs and know about Dr. Campbell. His bedside manner and personality need SERIOUS adjustments, but he is a good surgeon. People either love him or they hate him. One of my patients had him do her open, and said he did a great job. I think it's just different when you experience a doctor behind the scenes......he for sure has the surgical skills. Good luck!

Barbie, I have a freind who had the wls by Dr. Campbell. The first time he tore her usogophus (sp?) Then she had him do a revision at a later time for some reason; he nicked her splien and now she doesn't have it. I don't know how common this stuff is. But, I also had another friend who had a brest lump removed by him. They got the wire where it was supposed to be and somehow managed to nock it out in the surgery room. Instead of him getting her down to get it placed back where he would know exactly where it was, he just removed all the tissue in the surrounding area. Does that sound like a surgeon you would want to have? I personally would find someone else.Go with one of the surgeons in Little Rock. They do this stuff all the time and I have only heard good things about their surgical skills.

Wow... thank you so much for your honesty. Thats definantly not a surgeon that i would put my life into the hands of. I have heard several bad things about him...so... Im on the search for a new Dr. that I am comfortable with.Thanks again for taking the time to reply =)
