How long does the entire process take??

Everyone has been really great about answering my stupid questions, and I have another one! I was wondering...How long did it take to get full approval and get a surgery date? School starts in mid/late August and I wanted to get the surgery before I had to start back. So far, I've been referred from my PCP to a surgeon, and I have a consult date scheduled with him. Is it even possible that I could get all the necessary things done before I have to return to school? Thanks in advance- Brandy
