Dr. Clay Wellborn

I was wondering if anyone had used Dr. Wellborn. I am interested in the adjustable gastric band. I would like to chat with anyone that has had the band and used Dr. Wellborn.

Hi Glenda, I did not use Dr. Wellborn but I did look into having the lap band done before deciding to go with the gastric bypass. When I was researching the lap band I called his office and asked if there were any patients that had it done that would be willing to talk with me about their experience. The receptionist gave me the number of two women who had agreed to give out their number in case anyone called and wanted to talk to someone. I'm sorry I don't have the numbers anymore since this was almost two years ago. I think the women were from Cabot. At the time I was researching this Dr. Wellborn was the only Dr. doing this in the state. I have never heard any negative comments about him. I had my surgery done in 2/04 and while I was walking the halls of the hospital I met two people who had the lap band done. They seemed to be doing great. Well that's all I know.
