wls support group(little rock)

Hello everyone, I mainly lark on this site. But as I get closer to my July 14th date, I am finding myself really wanting to make some connections locally. Does anyone know of any support groups here in little rock or close to here. Thanks in advance, Tonia

I found this on a site I belong to hope it helps ya FYI: A gastric bypass support group has started at Baptist, I630. It's for folks who have had the surgery or are considering having the surgery. It meets on the 2nd Thursday of each month, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the Sheffield (sp?) auditorium, which is on the 1st floor, between the hospital and Med Towers I. The 1st mtg was May 13 and there was handful of participants. Dr. Baker was there that nite but I don't think he'll be at every mtg? I think that, as word spreads, more and more people will come. I personally am very glad that this grp has started. I had my WLS May 2003 and am glad to have an opportunity to be able to meet w/ others who are going thru similar things after WLS. The next mtg is this Thursday, June 10, 6 p.m. Please attend for support for yourself and for others!
