Ups and Downs
Isn't it strange how you can be on a mountaintop one minute and in the lowest valley the next? I had been to my surgon..been through the bloodwork..been through the gallbladder ultrasound...been through the upperGI(camera down my throat). Seen the exercise person got a letter from my MD..All I need is my physc eval and to see the nutritionist before submitting for insurance approval which my nurse told me was a shoein((Mountain))...Things were clickin right along TILL....The superior minds at Springdale's Northwest Medical Center has decided that GBP or WLS as a whole is not the road that the hospital wants to take and has canceled the entire program..((Valley)) I am not giving up however and I have a seminar to attend in Tulsa with Dr.Gorospe on June 11th. (Is anyone else familier with him?)We will see how to proceed from there..Our insurance will still cover the hospital 100% and the tests I've already done will be acceptable as well. So I'm climbing back up the mountain..LOL Please remember me in all your prayers.
Marshall
Hang in there Marshall. I'm in the same situation as you. I was so excited to find out that we had local doctors doing the procedure. That's one of the main reasons I decided to pursue WLS. I've been researching it for a couple of years, but finding out I could do it locally really got me excited. I'm just getting started, but also wanted to use Oman and Alston. Let me know how it goes with Gorospe. I was thinking about using him if I couldn't get it done locally.
