another plataue!

can anyone tell me how many plataues one person can have, i have had about 5 all ready. the scales just don't want to move, any ideas? i am exercising daily and doing sit-ups for my stomach, my water has slowed down because it makes me have to pee all the time. anyway i'm getting aggravated any ideas? thanks, amanda

I bet even though that you are not losing the lbs, youare losing inches. That is usually how it works. I haven't had surgery yet, but when I was on a low carb, high protein diet it happened quite a bit. I wouldn't stop drinking the water though. I think that is the key.

It may be the water. That is my weak point too. So far I'm keeping mine up, but I know when I go back to work that will be a real issue with me. I know you have a .good loss overall--how long have these plateaus been lasting? Maybe you are just a stair step loser. Drop-hold-drop-hold-drop If that is your pattern, then you will drop lbs again once your body adjusts to its current weight. Knowing your pattern at least helps you set your expectations more realistically for you. Whatever it is, don't get discouraged. You are not done yet! Joy -20 lbs / 19 days

hey amanda... havent been on in a while but girl i think my scales moved six pounds in three months. i have only lost from 271 to 196 and im up for my six month. i work out at the gym at least five times a week. when i started it about killed me now im addicted. but im only losing about four to five pounds a month. which is a good thing because i seen a girl the other day that i have known forever. she weighed 268 preop and now she weighs 127 and she looks horrible..... i dont want to look like her so be glad it just isnt falling off..... make sure you work out and get in shape while losing or you will wish you had when you hit your goal. My first goal was under 200 i finally made it last week. hope to see you when we go to the doctor.... im april 8th i think i have to call, or ask rahbin. she keeps up with all that for me..... take care and dont worry about not losing so much as to keeping fit... you looked wonderful the last time i seen you im sure you are doing great..... steph

Amanda, Don't feel bad girl, I'm on a plataue right now. I'm stuck on 205. I really wanted to be about 199 before I see Dr. Baker on Friday. But I don't thinkk that's going to happen.
