I am very relieved that my cousin found such a great and experienced Dr. Thank you for responding to my questions. So have you had your first consultation? April 5th is sneaking up fast here and she hasn't even had them schedule it and they won't till she finishes her blood work which she is doing this week. I do hope she will have surgery on the 5th, since she has done a lot of waiting and searching for a Dr to finally be at this point is so great. I had surgery almost 12 weeks ago and will hopefully can support her through the first few weeks and beyond.

Yes, I had my initial consultation a year ago (March 2003)!! But that was because I had hoped to have the surgery last spring... I had trouble getting approval from AR Rehab, so it took a WHILE (to say the least!) to get a surgery date. I will go back to see Dr. Baker on March 23, for weighing and to talk with him again before the surgery, and I will also do my pre-op at the hospital that day. Then surgery on the 31st, bright and early -- I'm scheduled for 5:30 a.m. Good luck to you and your cousin -- I will keep you both in my prayers. Tammy
