Self-Pay Open or Lap RNY in Little Rock, AR

Has anybody had a self pay done in either St Vincents or Baptist is Little Rock, AR. ? Which Doctor & Hospital? Is the cost the same? How many days included in Hospital? How is payment made? All up front or some down & payments etc.? Thank you

Pete, I just had surgery on the 25th of Feb. and went throught the Baratric Center at Little Rock, (Dr. Ozment). I had to do a self pay. They give a discount on self pay and the total package was $15,002.00. Mine was a little less because I didn't have to have my gall-bladder removed and didn't choose to do the epidural for pain. And I am glad I didn't do the epidural because the pain wasn't really that bad. Here is the number for the Bariatric Center 1-800-982-3799 or 501-552-8299. The doctor can't be paid by credit card but the hospital and the anesteologist (spelling) can. It was a very simple transaction for me. She said there maybe some later bills that might come through like for lab or for the reading of xrays! But no more than $500.00. I truly feel that this a life chaning tool and can't wait to experience all the benefits from this surgery. Being only 5 days out I am a little sore and not much of an appetite (boy is that a change but a good change.) And I am sure as the doctor told me in a couple of days that will come back and I will feel like eating again. But I know I won't be able to begin to eat half as much as I used to.
