We are ready to start the final week of countdown days... (Well, ready or not, here it comes). I think it is terrific that there are 4 of us sharing the same surgery week. If you meet others in the hospital, please share this site with them. I'm sure we will all need more encouragement as we enter the next stage of the road to LOSERSVILLE. Let's stay in touch! Joy, I am sure getting excited for you! One week to go. Are you nervous? Excited? Wow, hope all goes well for you and these other women. I will keep you in my prayers. What kinds of things are you doing to get ready? Did you tell lots of folks,ie.. family members, friends, ect...? Will you have a big support group of friends, other than us here?

Yes, I am nervous and excited! But not scared (at least yet). Thank you for the prayers. As far as getting ready...I have brought in a stock of SF liquids and protein powders. I am teaching my fat dog to climb a step stool to get into my lap in the recliner chair so I don't have to pick her up (shes too fat to jump up on her own!). I'm weaned from caffeine and sugar. I've been exercising 20 min/day. I've been on big doses of vitamins and protein and drinking extra. I bought a robe at Kohls for the hospital for $7! I have been blessed with a very supportive husband and daughter, and a few close friends that know. Most of my acquaintences just know I am getting a hysterectomy (at the same time), but I'm sure they will find out--I just wanted to limit my exposure to their fears preop. The people I have met here are terrific and are able to give support from a perspective that no one else can. That means so much! This would be so difficult to go alone, but there is no need for anyone to feel that... Joy (3/1)
