Okay, so the first two weeks I lost a total of 25lbs but since then (1 1/2weeks)I have lost 2lbs. I know I shouldn't really be upset but I know that the first month is the biggest window and on average you lose 10% of your body weight. I guess I am just worried that this also will not work. I feel in a weird kind of funk. I don't want to do anything. I know I am not depressed, been there...done that...this isn't that. I am just over 3 weeks out...any post-opers feel and experience this. Getting in my protein...I think on most days...shakes really sick. Can't wait to get meat...I dream of the crap...steak, grilled chicken and turkey...the thought of pureed meat sickens me. Peace, love, hope and faith to all posters...pre and post! Angela

Angela, I'm just a few weeks away from my surgery date, and I suffer from diabetes, High blood pressure and back pain, So I just pray that in 3 1/2 weeks from my date that I've lost 27 lbs. I belive that it will work. Remember that all people are different. Thats what I'm going to do. Just think you already lost 27 lbs in less than a month. What diet other than ones that make you go hungery all the time can say that. I bet that in no time you'll be loseing so much that you won't be able to keep track of it all. Good Luck and I'll be praying for ya.. Shannon

Hang in there my friend. Keep on with the protein and fluids. Maybe you are losing inches when you are not losing lbs. To us pre-opers 27 lbs looks good, but I have dieted enough to understand the panic that a stall or slow-down causes. THIS IS DIFFERENT. YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL. If you feel a need to DO SOMETHING, try walking a bit extra. But your loss engines will kick in again, I'm confident... Joy

Angela, WOW 27 POUNDS! That is not good?-?-? Sounds great to me. I guess the first two weeks spoil you? Sorry, I'm no help; am I? Wish I was, cause that would mean I already had my surgery. But, unfortunately I haven't. S-o-o-o-o-o-o I dunno? Hope you feel better soon.
