hi jillian, i have blue cross / blue shield, they also have an exclusion but my doctor wrote them a letter that it was medically necissary, that and dr. bakers letter to them and they approved me in 3 days. so there are several avenues that you can take. what insurance are you with now? see if they have the medically necissary one. let me know if i can help. - amanda

Thanks Amanda!! I have First Health Network, but I'm also going to see if I can get medicaid just incase it doesn't work out with First Health. Do you have a pcp or good family docter that doesn't have a problem with wls. Thats who Im trying to find to get a referral letter! Preferrably in the Gurdon or Arkadelphia area. I use to go to Dr. Gherki but i think he would have a problem with wls. Let me know if you do. Jillian

i use dr. ford in arkadelphia, he is across the street from andy's on pine street.- amanda , oh yea he is listed under arkadelphia medical clinic his number is 870-246-2471, and don't go to dr. jansen, a friend told me that he was against wls. hope this helps. - amanda
