Hi Amanda, great going on your weight loss so far!! I leave in Bluff City about 15 minutes from you and I'm trying to find a good PCP. I just sent in my application for medicaid(because my insurance has wls as a exclusion) and I'm trying to get going on the process while I wait for my approval. hi amanda, yeah i know we are pretty close aren't we!! My situation as far is the wls is this: i have insurance but have found out they have an exclusion, even though i see they approved someone on the site back in 2001 but i guess they have changed their policy. so through the site i found people had gotten approved with medicaid so i'm going to try and go that route. i just sent the application off but i found they can take up to 90 days to get you approved for medicaid. so now i'm just tryin to do what i can do to get the process moving once i am aproved for it. first i want to get a pcp that has no problem with the thought of wls ( the one i see now does).then i'll want to go ahead and try to get on a supervised diet so medicaid will not have an excuse when it comes to approval. please send anybody my way you think will be of help to me on this journey!!
