What is the deal? I just got my medicaid card and when I called St. Vincents, the lady there told me the requirements for medicaid to pay, like a year well documented dr. supervised diet within the last 18 months, and you must have been morbidly obese for five or more years. This sucks! Guess its time to move on and just go ahead and get pregnant, if I die, I die....

Thank you, I have seen my doctor and she has started me on xenical, after 6 months if I havent done very well she will add meridia.

Hi Lisa, just wanted to say hang in there and don't give up. I tried the xenical -- it gave me the worst diarrea I've had in my entire life. It was uncontrollable. I tried Meridia too -- did absolutely nothing for me. But I had to do what you're doing -- I had to stay on it for a year, going to the doctor once a month, in order to fulfill my requirements for the WLS. I will pray that you are approved soon! Tammy
