There was a segment on gastric bypass on ( I think channel 7? ) the 10pm news tonight. Dr. Gibbs was interviewed. And Pamela (? Bad with names , I am sorry ) She is I believe 3 or 4 months out after surgery. I thought it was going to be onne of those WLS bashing things. But, it ended good. Just curious if any of you saw it and what you thought. Is Dr. Gibbs hard to get in to see? Does he take ARK. Rehab? Have any of you used him? What do you think? Do you pay him up front? That was one of the requirements for Ar. Rehab. ( A consult with a surgeon.) The only one I have talked with in Hot Springs wanted $300. for a consult and $ 6000. up front weather you had insurance or Ar. Rehab and then you have them reimburse you.

I saw it and like you I initially thought it would be a bash on the procedure and the obese alike, but it wasn't that was great. I realy liked Dr. Gibbs, he seemed very understanding. I need to find a Dr. that takes medicaid, It would be wonderful if he did.

Lisa, I too, need to find one. I was told that Dr. Baked no longer accepts Ark. rehab. I was sort of leaning toward him since he is so popular here. I wonder if Dr. Gibbs accepts Ark Rehab. I am going to call his office in the morning and find out. I would think if they accept one they would accept the other.

Yes I did, he is the one that will be doing my surgey on the 18th, he has seminars that you have to attend before you get an appointment with him, but the seminars are free and very informative, call his office and they will tell you when they will be held and where, I think you will really like DR.Gibbs.
