CALLED MY INSUARNCE COMPANY AND THEY SAID THAT I AM IN REVIEW I HAD TO FILE A COMPLAINT TO THE INSURANCE COMISSIONER... AND THE INS. COMPANY EMAILED THE INS. COMISSIONER AND THEY TOLD ME TO CALL THE INS. COMP AND I DID AND NOW THEY SAY THAT I AM MORBID OBESE AND THAT IT IS IN REVIEW SO MAYBE THAT IS A GOOD SIGN AND I WILL BE APPROVED. I DIDNT KNOW IF THIS WAS GETTING POSTED BECAUSE I FORGOT TO SAVE IT . THIS HAS BEEN A LONG STORY AND IF ANYONE WANTS TO KNOW ABOUT IT JUST EMAIL ME. [email protected]

That does sound like progress, but it makes me furious that insurance companies can get away with treating people this way! I hope this is the beginning of a happy end to your waiting. Christy is really good at her job--if anyone can navigate through this maze, she can. I'm praying for you!

I hate sounding stupid but the insurance commissioner is a different one for each state or federal one? I want to know all the details so that I'll be prepared for 'just in case'. I hope your insurance gets their act together. I don't understand why insurance companies research what tobacco, drinking, overweight and all that can do to a body and yet only cover some of the treatments, i.e. smoking cessation, programs to stop drinking but won't cover wls. Being overweight is as bad if not worse than smoking and drinking.

This is a state level regulatory position. If you look in your phone book center section under state offices, it should be under insurance.
