I had my surgery back in Oct. and so far I am 3 months out and have lost 57 pounds, however I am concerned that I am slowing down with the weight loss to fast. I Know we don't all lose the same but I am so scared that it will stop and I would have gone through this in vein. I have began walking again and try to do it everyday but have gone for a week at times and not lose a pound. I monitor what and how much I eat but still feel that I am not having a normal experience. can anyone give advice if they have been through the same. Please. Thank you Barbara

DONT WORRY I had my surgery oct 1 03 and my weight loss has slowed as well. HAve you measured yourself? You may be losing inches, also you must exercise. I walk too. Do 1-2 miles a day. If you can get to a swimming pool exercise in the pool as well. If you get your protien and water in and you are not grazing the weight will come off. WE dont eat enough to support a karge body anymore. I lost 54 pounds at my last docs visit and my bmi says I am just obese, not morbidly obese anymore. I have lost another 15 pounds since then. If you follow the rules and exercise the weight will come off in time.

This was the reply I received from Dr Baker when I had this happen..... Patience, plateau's happen. I had surgery on 9-29-03 so I have been there. Hang in there. You will never lose weight as fast as you did in the first couple of months but you will lose again. Denise Baker 9-29-03 246-180-???
