How many of you are in NW arkansas?

You all have been so helpful in helping me find a doctor.I had emergancy gallbladder surgery last monday and wont need to have open RNY if it keeps up this way!HA!

I live in Springdale and am interested in this surgery but don't want to go to Little Rock to have it done. Are you seeing a local physician and if so who? Thanks! and good luck!

Went to Dr. Leah Oman yesterday at the NW ARkansas Surgery Clinic. She and Dr. Alston do the surgery as a team. WE have the paperwork started. I am insured with Aetna and there's a lot of leg work to dol I have to see the psych dr, cardiologist, dietician and an exercise consultant. I was really impressed with Dr Oman and she was very thorough. My regular doctor is Burton Bledsoe in Springdale. He's an internist.

I live just outside Bentonville. I need to lose 150 pounds and my husband needs to lose that much or more. I want this surgery so bad and then I get cold feet and back off for awhile. My insurance will pay 80% but I don't have the 20% to pay the rest. I also don't want to go to Little Rock but I understand that is where the best doctor's are. Patty, I live in Springdale. I made contact with the NW Arkansas Surgery Clinic here in town. They have 2 doctors that are doing the weight loss surgery. I have an appointment with Dr. Orman on th 29th to see if I am a candidate and what all the procedures I have to go thru. Made the first one today as I had to get my regular doctor to write a letter for medical necessity and forward my records to them. So I saw my regular doctor and talked to him this morning so now I am ready for the next step.
