wls and your period!

has anyone had a problem after having wls that there period is all screwed up, mine totally is.thanks, amanda

Yes, and I went back on my birth control pills to regulate it, even though I had a tubal at the time of wls. My doctor told me that it is due to losing weight fast (the free flow of estrogen) as well as your body still recovering from major surgery. Denise

Amanda, Yes girl, I have a lot of problems with my period. I'm on it right now. The last time I was on it was 11/23 And I started this time on the 9th. And I'm sorry to say it this way but I'm passing big blood clodes. Bigger than I ever have. And it isn't even time for my period yet. So I'm about to go crazy. I'm stuck at 255.5. And it isn't going no where right now. I see doc. Baker on 12/19. I know part of the stand still is my crazy period but it is driving me nuts. Well I guess I'll quit rambling. Hugs Debbie Moya

hey debbie, it's good to hear from you. we sound like were in the same boat. i had a tubal, and ever since i have been bleeding. i started bleeding, and bleed for 15 days, then stopped for a few days, now i'm bleeding again. i go to my ob-gyn on friday so maybe i'll find out what's going on. anyway, are you ready for christmas? i'm not, take care of yourself, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
