Hello Everyone, I wanted to let everyone know that I was home and feeling really well. I had my surgery Dec 3 and came home the 5th. I was really surprised how little pain I had in my stomach. The worst pain I had was in my back and that has finally eased some today. I think because I was finally able to sleep on my side last night helped. The only explanation I got for the back pain was the small and hard OR table. I am trying to do all my walking at home, but it is hard. I have a treadmill and boy does 2 minutes wear me out....hahaha. Goes to show how out of shape I am. I was also surprised how quickly you do get full, making me realize why everyone has such a hard time getting their liquids down. I have discoved some sugar free popsicles from Kroger though that are out of this world, they provide some liquid and feel like a treat. I am also taking the advice to add non fat dried milk to things. Adding 1/3 cup to my instant breakfast adds 8 grams of protein...woooo whoooo!! I thought if drinking a protein shake can literally take hours, how will I ever get all my protein down. I think this will do the tric****il I am on a more normal diet. My biggest delight so far is my fasting blood sugar the other morning was 142 and that is taking no meds. I am taking it a couple of times a day to make sure I don't need to go back on some, but this sure is an answer to prayers. I believe I have lost a little weight so far, not a lot I don't think, it's so hard to tell on my home scale, but it's exciting anyway. I keep telling myself that slow is a very good thing. Well I suppose I should head for the treadmill again before taking a bit of a rest. Thanks so much to all of the folks that sent kind thoughts and prayers my way. You all are great!!!

Bobbie, That is great! Sound like you are doing wonderful. Certainly better than I did. But just be careful so you don't have any problems. Hugs Debbie Moya
