Karen, You aren't far from where I live. I'm in Monticello. I can't really answer any of your questions, I just wanted to wish you lots of luck. I had my surgery done lap and I only spent one night in the hospital. I was home the following afternoon. Remember to get up and walking as soon as possible. God Bless you on your journey! hellokarin, i had my surgery 2 months ago at baptist. about the tubes, they were removed before you wake up, except for the tube that some people have, it's a drain tube, i didn't have that either. a friend had to leave her's in till her 1 month check-up. your dr. should have talked to ya about all of this. i hope it helps you. you will be in some pain, no doubt! i will be praying for you, who's your doctor? i used dr. baker, he's great. - amanda

Karen Church, The NG tube will be removed before you wake up. If you have sleep apnea you will probably have a drain tube in. I had a drain tube in because of sleep apnea. I had it taken out at my 1 month checkup. I was in the hospital 5 day's. I didn't have the hernia repair though. Hope this helps. Hugs Debbie Moya
