39 days and counting!

Well this is my first time to post a message. I am getting so excited! My date is Jan 9, 2004! It is a really exciting time and a somewhat scary time too! But I am READY! I have been reading a the messages that are posted and it has really helped me to hear about what everyone has gone through and to hear about the successes! My husband and family are being very supportive which has helped me to know I am doing the right thing. I still have a friend or two that think I am making a big mistake but they will come around. If not, that is their problem! I know I have made the right decision and I am looking forward to being a looser! Good Bye for now! BB

I am happy for you too. I had very little support before my surgery as well. After surgery everyone came around and finally got supportive. My cardiologist told me not to have wls because I have a very bad heart. He thought I might die on the operating table. My wife got scared because I was so high risk. My wife is now supportive and wants to wls too. When I saw my caediologist last week he is happy I have lost 50 pounds and feeling so much better. You have to be brave and take a chance. Losing weight will help you a lot. Good luck on your journey

Brenda, I'm very happy for you. My family was very supportive. But I to had friends who weren't very happy, I know they were just worried. But everything went fine. Now I'm 10 weeks out today and I've lost 98 Lbs. Hugs And I wish you the best of luck on your journey Debbie Moya
