3 days post op.....
Dr. Gibbs did my lap RNY on Monday, and I returned home yesterday...I guess I'm doing what I should.....I try to sip Propel off and on...I ate some SF jello and some wonton soup today.....My plan says I can try thicker soups on Sunday........
I don't feel very good, but I guess I should expect that at this point......
I welcome any suggestions you all might have for a new post op.
Gerald,
It's great to see you back! It sound's like you are doing what you should be doing. Are you walking. That will help out a lot even if it is just around in the house for now. Just try to walk. And drink water. I know I didn't feel worth a crap for about 3 weeks. But other people can help you out more with other stuff. I'm only 9 weeks out. I've lost 94 Lbs. This also counts what I lost 1 month before surgery. Make sure you also get plenty of rest and don't try and push yourself to much. Also make sure you don't left anything over 5 Lbs. At least that's what Dr. Baker told me.

Gerald,
The Doc. Should be able to perscribe you something for the nausea, Because they don't want you to through up. Remember to sip your water. Try to get down About 1 ounce every 10 min, is what i was told. Sugar free popcicles are also good for liquid. When I was in the hospital sometimes all i could do was sugar free popcicles. Make sure you take your time when eating. Watch out for hidden sugars. These may cause you to Dump. Well I guess I'll let you go for now.
Good luck on the rest of your journey.
