Angel

Hey!! I know this is gonna sound stupid, but what is an angel exactly? I've read people talking about them but i'd like to know more info about them... also, how do i get one? Just wondering! Jessi

An angel is someone who keeps obesityhelp informed as to how you are doing after your surgery and who just encourages you during this time.

I have been an Angel to several people who have surgery here in Little Rock. Basically what I have done is emailed them my support and kept the message board up to date on what's happening with them. As soon as they have surgery, I print off their surgery pages and take to them when I visit them in the hospital and take them a little token gift- teddy bear, etc., just to let them know that they have someone who cares. It helps to have someone who has been there before to help get past the rough spots. Sometimes you just need someone who can tell you, "Yeah, you're supposed to feel like that". You get an Angel by asking for someone to volunteer to be your Angel in a message to the board, or just email someone who have seen on the board and ask them personally. Good luck! Nita
