Hi all. I have a few questions for those of you who are farther down the road than I am. First, It seems quite often after I eat that I feel queazy to my stomach. Not a feeling like I am going to throw up just a yuck feeling. I am not eating sugary or high fat things so what can it be? Second, I do not have bowel movements hardly at all. Does anyone else have this? I am taking a stool softener a day but still seem to not go. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Melissa

I had my surgery oct 1 and I hav e bowel problems too. I have been using benefiber and eating natural applesauce and beans. My bowels have improved. I have noticed if I eat anything fried or with any fat at all I also feel yucky. If I take 2 tums complete it settles my stomach. I baked chicken nuggets last night and they upset my stomach. I guess we just have sensitive stomachs now.

I had my surgery in Batesville with doc Lambert. Starting with the third week we are on a soft diet. I am not supposed to eat beef or pork yet, but I can have seafood, chicken, amd turkey. I can pretty much eat what I want to eat. I eat a lot of tuna, chicken, and turkey. Since I have eaten meat and seafood my energy level has gone way up. I feel really good. Fried foods dont bother me if I only eat a little. Fried fish and shrimp taste real good. I cant handle much sugar though. Anything very sweet makes me nautious. I can tell after one bite if something agrees with me or not. Maybe I am just lucky.

I agree, David. Since I started eating a little meat (chicken mainly and some fish) I have felt better and had more energy. Maybe it's a coincidence but it works for me. And I have not been sick on anything. Denise Baker 9-29-03
