Hi, I'm New.

Hi all, I didn't realize AMOS had a specific Arkansas area or I would have posted on here sooner. I would like to introduce myself and say hello. I am scheduled for open RNY on December 17, 2003 at 7am. Dr. Luttrell is my surgeon. My bmi is 35.2. I am hoping to lose 93 pounds and keep it off. Denise, I read your profile. You seem really sweet. I hope your mental/emotional issues start to resolve themselves. Jeri

Welcome to the site. I hope that it is as informative for you as it has been for me. December 17 will be here before you know it. Hi there Jeri, I am pretty new to this site also for I just recently moved to Arkansas back in July, I belong to a support group in Tulsa for that is where I had my surgery and lived!!! I am now living in Ozark, Arkansas and I have to say I love it!!! I had my surgery on 1-14-02 starting weight was 369lbs standing only 4'11", talk about round as I was tall...... that was me, I had a 22lb apron removed and my gallbladder at the same time.....I just recently had emergency hernia repair and had to mediflighted from Ozark to Tulsa, talk about a scare I was scared to death, my bowels had intangled into the hernia and they were afraid they were trying to die off, I also had a 6in tightner on my tummy!!! And now I weigh 173lbs so that is a total loss of 196lbs so far!!!! YIPPIE!!! Good luck on your upcoming surgery and you will never regret your decision!!!!

Jeri, Welcome to this site. Just remember when you have surgery: Walk, Walk, Walk. And water. I'm 4 week's out tomarrow. I've lost about 34 Lbs. I see Dr. Baker 22nd so I will know more then. Hugs Debbie Best wishes on your Journey
