I need some support/suggestions from folks who have walked this walk. I am 10 wks out, having lap RnY on 8/12. I am down only 30 lbs! I started with a bmi of 44, I feel very good, have NEVER vomited, and my labs are all normal. I have tried to do some calorie counting some days and the most I take in is 1,000 cal. I am walking 30 min per day 3-4 days per week and always get in 64 oz of liquid. What am I doing wrong?? Tks D'Etta

Detta, Hello my name is Debbie. I think you are doing great. You maybe gaining muscle. remember muscle weighs more than fat. So just hang in there and try measuring. don't always go by the scale. Hugs Debbie

Debbie- Thanks for your post. I am trying to remain positive, the reason why I had this surgery was to be healthier and not have so much back pain. I feel good, never vomited, and I am able to walk further before pain becomes too bad. I need to be thankful for what I do have. D'Etta

Hi Detta, hun please do not get discouraged you are doing the right things, everyone looses at different stages, your body has just went through alot of shock and it could be that it is trying to adjust.......also remember that you may be loosing inches right now instead of lbs and that is just as important........I had several plateaus where I didn't loose not even 1 lb and got so discouraged but the weight loss does start back up and it goes fast......my surgery was 1-14-02 my starting weight was 369lbs standing only 4'11'', I now weigh 173lbs which is a total loss of 196lbs.......good luck and God Bless!!!
