Major happy dance time.......I am now scheduled for Lap with Dr. Gibbs on Nov. 24th.......... : )

GERALD- WONDERFUL NEWS- I TO AM SCHEDULED WITH DR MARK GIBBS I HEAR HE IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST... MY SURGERY I BELIEVE WILL BE OPEN RNY THEY SAY IT IS SAFER CAUSE THEY CAN SEE THINGS MORE CLEARLY....BUT GIBBS IS EXCELENT EITHER WAY... MY DATE IS OCT 2,2003 AT 730A AT ST VINCENTS LR. ILL LET YA KNOW HOW IT GOES IF YA WANT ME TOO AND GIVE YA SOME POINTERS AFTER THE FACT ANYWAY GOOD LUCK AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND KEEP YOU SAFE

Gerald- Congrats! I bet you are so happy! I am 5 days post op with a lap done by Dr. Gibbs. He is awesome!! Carrie is SUPER! I think lap is the way to go if you can. Open may be cheaper but the hospital stay, recovery time & time off work is longer. It is also so much less invasive. I wish you the best of luck. If you have any questions feel free to ask!
