I have been trying to get my husbands whirlpool insurance to pay for WLS. We have united health care and I have heard of them paying through other companies but not whirlpool. What is the deal with them ? Also my Dr. started me on a new weight loss drug called xenical , has anyone tried it? Let me know if anyone had any success with whirlpool. Thanks, Janet

Janet, I don't anything about Whirpool, but I do know Xenical. It is a good drug if you only have to lose between 30 and 40 pounds, but then it plateaus and stops working. I have been on Xenical several times in the last 3 years. I only lost on average 25 pounds and then I would gain back 30. I hope this helps. - Karin

Hello Janet, I know I was upset because my insurance wouldn't pay. And I found out that it wasn't the insurance at all. It was the place I work for. They pick out what they wan't to cover and What they don't . So maybe if nothing else work's just maybe you can be you can voice your appenion to the company. I had to go through Arkansas Rehab. They almost turned me down but my mom called the commisioner and the chief of Arkansas Rehab. and she threated to write congress. Well I hope this help's. Hug's and Lot's of Luck Debbie
