Bad News.:(....

I found out today my insurance will not cover WLS due to my companies policy which will not cover anything related to weight loss even if it is medically necessary. I will either have to pay $20,000 out of pocket ( my pockets are no where near that deep) or buy into another health insurance policy that will cover the surgery and pay into that for a year before I can get it done. I am very depressed. I was definately not expecting this. If anyone can help me with locating a private health insurance company that will cover the surgery let me know. Stats: BMI..57 Co-morbidities = Depression, Arthritsis, Htn, High Cholesterol, Stress Incontinence, Hiatal Hernia. Cindy N.

Cindy, Have you tried Rehab....i hear they aren't helping too many people, but your BMI is high enough to qualify. It can't hurt to check it out. Good luck Renee
