I'm flipping out here. Question re: staple line disruption

OK, maybe my daughter is right and I'm becoming a hypochondriac.  While browsing OH this morning I ran across a post about a failed RNY where some of the staples failed at the pouch and food was going into the other part of the stomach.  I looked it up and it has me worried that it could have possibly happened to me.  I could swear that Dr. Roller disconnects the old part of the stomach but I'm not sure and won't be able to find out until I can call.  Meanwhile I'm spazing out!  A few weeks ago I had a CAT scan and asked the tech if she could see my pouch and tell if it is still small.  She asked me if I had eaten recently because she could see "gunk" in my stomach.  What she was pointing to was the area where the old part of my stomach would be not below the sternum area where the pouch is.  I told her no, it had been over two hours since I ate anything.  I just figured we didn't know what we were looking for.  She said she could see my band and I didn't bother to correct her thinking she didn't know what she was looking for anyway.  Here's the deal:  my stomach "growls" and gurgles lately.  Not where my pouch is, lower down to the left.  I have heartburn from time to time and I never used to get it before.  I get hungry in the early evening but I just figured that my blood sugar was getting low and I needed to eat some supper.  Am I worried about nothing?  Any Dr. Roller patients out there?  Does he disconnect the other part of the stomach during the RNY?

I typed a big long response yesterday and POOF it's gone!  So sorry, Sybul.

Did you call Dr Roller's office?

Why heck no.  I get caught up in things as soon as I walk in the door and before I know it, the whole day is gone.  Right now work is so stressful that it's eating at me big time.  I found myself stress eating again yesterday.  I feel like I'm ready to pull my hair out (what little I have, lol).

Ok, remember that eating when your stressed doesn't change the stressful situation, it only adds to it because you know it's a behavior that you shouldn't be doing.

You are so right.  It's crazy but I have been thinking of nothing but food for the past few days since I decided to start recording my food again.  I had 1600 calories yesterday.  That's horrible.  Today is another day.  I will do better.
