Judging by the responses and/or activity on this board, almost everyone washed away in the Great Christmas Flood of 2009.

I will miss you all.

I think everyone had already gone way before your post. Seems they've all headed for Facebook Land.

Maybe we should ask Peaches to hold a memorial service for our dearly departed Board?

Ok, I get the message, lol.  I have been lurking some.  My life has been really hectic lately.  I broke a rib giving my dogs a bath, and several days later I had to go in for a CT scan of my chest because of a node they saw on one of my lungs when they xrayed my ribs, I passed out in the kitchen that same night and fell out flat on my back (and my poor dog) and ended up taking a ride to the ER in an ambulance.  I was sooo embarrassed.  So there I was back getting a CT scan done of my neck and head that was killing me from the fall, lol.  All is good on the health front.  I think I passed out from low blood sugar.  I hadn't eaten anything most of the day I was so busy at work.  The node on my lung is the same one I've had for years.  Work has been very stressful with the holidays and trying to juggle all the extra projects this time of year brings.  I'll be glad when the new year gets here.  I guess this time of year is tough on the board with everyboing busy with the holidays.  I know this year I had a rough time resisting all the food around.  I made it through without going overboard though. By the time I cooked Christmas dinner, I couldn't eat any because I got full just tasting things, lol.  It was still fun though.  I promise to get back on track and I will try to check in every day.

Im here, its just a hard time of year for me and I dont do much of anything.  I still read the posts, but I just dont have the umph to chat.  December is a month of memorial for us, as we burried Mikes grandmother 2003, my dad 2004 and my first husband and I married on Dec 9, and hes been in heaven 7 1/2 years now.
Soooooo, even though I know ya'll are here for support sometimes its easier for me to hide.  I know its not the answer, but it happens.  Im having other issues I'll not go into now b/c we all have our problems.  Just know Im here in spirit and think of you all often.

Hope all had a Merry and Blessed CHRISTmas and I wish you all a healthy and Happy 2010!!

Hello all!

I am here I promise, just been SICK SICK SICK!  I got the H1N1 and Type A regular flu the weekend before Christmas, took my meds and finshed the Zpac and Tamiflu on Wednesday, headed to Louisiana on Thursday, Christmas Eve and was thrilled to be feeling better.  Had an enjoyable Cajun Christmas and woke up Saturday morning with a scratchy throat, that let to chest congestion on Sunday and just plain old evil sickness this past week, went to the doctor on Thursday and felt I needed to be in the hospital I felt so bad.  Well sinus infection, 2 ears infected and crap in my chest and just all over pain!  I got antibiotics and some pain meds and have been resting all weekend so I can make it back to work tomorrow.  I hope everyone is well and I am thanking God for getting me through this illness.

Now on another note, you remember how when we were all overweight/or SMO and you would get sick and it was because you were fat and your body had to work harder, heard that a long time!  Well the other day with all my sickness and not feeling well, my own mother who is a nurse actually said to me that I think this surgery has just done your body in and your immnune system will never recover, WTF? I swear some of us are just damned if we do and damned if we don't, anyone else ever feel this way?  I lose the weight and still it is not good enough, lol!

All opinions welcome, Best Wishes for a healthy and happy new year everyone!

Oh, Amy, I hear ya!  I quit smoking 3 years ago.  EVERYTHING that I went to the dr for, including, I kid you not, an INGROWN TOENAIL was because I was a smoker.  I got bronchitis about the same time I quit.  My dr even told me that that spell would be the last time I had to deal with bronchitis since I was quitting.   It's never ending.
If you see someone without a smile, give them yours.

I am married to a retired nurse and to her if I have this surgery it will kill me. She states that it would break up our marriage of 46 years.

I believe that must go along with the nursing profession. All my doctors are in favor of it and I do not imply that is just the surgeon.

Have faith in God and that he is guiding your surgeon. After that just trust in the Lord.,
